TRUSS was founded in New York in 2013 with the intention of creating beautiful handmade accessories with the artisans of Oaxaca, Mexico. Over the course of seven years, the brand expanded from one tote style to over 20 different styles, using an array traditional techniques from across Mexico, including woven leather and glass beadwork.

As well as having an e-commerce site, TRUSS enjoyed many wholesale retail partners internationally, namely:

Above all, TRUSS valued the preservation and growth of Oaxaca’s artisan trade and believed the endemic skillset had a place in the global luxury market. 

TRUSS also donated to the women’s foundation Fondo Guadalupe Musalem and their work to educate and empower young Oaxacan women.
