Production & Design
For Supreme’s SS20 and FW20 collections I sourced, developed, and produced a handwoven serape blanket and bomber jacket, created by artisans in rural Tlaxcala, Mexico.
Both projects had immense scale and therefore required the coordination of many artisan communities in the region.
The most important aspect of this project was to demonstrate the incredible work of the weavers who used floor looms—paying tribute to this storied tradition—but to also maintain the highest of ethical standards, always keeping the artisans’ livelihoods as priority, even particulalry as the COVID-19 pandemic erupted.
